Seventy-Five years after Naruto and Sasuke put Madara Uchiha to rest, the Village Hidden in the Leaves is in a state of civil war. Revived by Naruto and Hinata, the Uzumaki clan thrives in Leaf after Naruto's reign as Hokage while the Uchiha clan is climbing back to full strength. The problem, however, lies in three clans that feel unappreciated: the clans of Nara, Yamanaka, and Akamichi. Unrest and distrust from these clans has started a battle between the alliance of these clans and the Uchiha-Uzumaki-Hyuga alliance. The anger of Ino-Shika-Cho is fueled by a member of the 'Leaf Loyalists' being the reigning Hokage.

The civil war is also on the brink of being a full blown Fifth Great Shinobi War as the fast rising Otogakure, the stubborn Iwagakure, and the enigmatic Kirigakure have joined the side of Ino-Shika-Cho. Sunagakure and Kumogakure remain staunch allies of the Leaf along with what appears to be members of the not-as-gone-as-it-seems Senju clan, who have come out of hiding to aid the village they founded. This war could be the one that destroys the shinobi world, though none care to notice. Fueled by jealousy or anger, neither side is willing to back down. In the end one question stands:

Who will you fight for?
