The dark figure swam throught the lava. It's breathing was raggid, but powerful--just like its strokes. Four strokes it took, and it moved rather quickly through the burning rock. It was actually a he, and he was actually Kuro Akumu. The current faught back, for his goal today was to get out of the dark cave he called home. The only way out of there was to swim through it, and at some parts one had to swim under the lava. This was no problem for Kuro in his spirit form. His spirit form was a dark fire stallion, but none like you've seen before. The lava licked his skin, yet did not affect him. He actually drew power from the element and never grew wary as he swam further and further. His hooves hadn't touched the rock ground yet, so his full energy was in each stroke he took.
Eventually the lighting changed. The lights that allumniated the cavern no longer came from the lava itself. No, this light was more intense and more uncomfortable to Kuro than the soft glow of lava and fire. Although this light also came from a large burning ball of fire, it was different somehow. The energy in this light was stale and of disuse to him. The light grew brighter and eventually Kuro's hooves touched solid ground. With a heave, he pulled himself out of the lava. It slid off his figure like water, and Kuro shook himself much like a dog. His burning eyes took awhile to adjust to the bright light, but when he did he didn't bother to look at his surroundnings. He knew it was mostly barren and rock, but eventually faded out to dead grass. There was a large ancient dead tree to his right where he liked to rest. His hooves clacked loudly against the stone. When he neared the tree a crow cawed, then took off in a frenzy to get away from Kuro. Another crow remained on the tree, obviously much braver than its companion. It too cawed when Kuro arrived, but Kuro ignored it.
Kuro changed into his human form, but was completely bare when he did. It was possible for him to change with his clothes on, but when he did there was more stress with it and it took ore energy. His clothes were in a small hole at the base of the tree. He decided to leave off his black shirt and just go with his leather pants and his boots. His necklace was already on him, so he there was no need to put that on. The now human Kuro looked around him, then walked off in the direction of the train station. He was headed to the human world again, but was in no hurry. His pace was slow and steady.
